Excellent ! French here, and was getting mad that nobody was mentioning this company when talking about photonics. In line with your thesis I am also heavily invested in. Key player under radar (for now). But will also need its two other products family (mobile and automotive) get back to growth in order to rise to its ATH in the 2-3 years coming.

Thank you! Very cool and glad you’re with me on this one. It is exciting to potentially see the cyclical rebound at the same time SiPho ramps but I think at these valuations you only need one for the stock to work.

I hope so ! Also I strongly agree with you when you wrote that the management published low guidances on purpose because of trust issues from the market (based on failed guidances last year on mobile segment). My bet is the guidance for Q4 FY26 will be beaten easy ! Waiting for the next articles of your serie now

Excellent article. Wrote a very small chapter about SOITEC in my Globalfoundries Deep Dive, but didn't dig any deeper since then. Are you going to cover that relationship in your series?

Curious to read your deep dives on the market. Very curious to see how much of your bullishness in SiPho is due to CPO vs. other sources of demand.

Pretty evenly split

Its a good idea but I've heard that Shin-Etsu and friends will take ~6 months before they "work". This might be a 2027 play.

I've heard the same from others who have taken a brief look at it. After a lot of research, I developed a view that acceleration will start much sooner, specifically because SiPho will take significant share from monolithic InP EML and VCSEL in 1.6T pluggable modules. This is actually what my part 3 article will be about.

We have OFC behind us now.. and SiPho appears to be moving quicker than previously anticipated

Damn, well written! New name for me, but I like this introduction to the company.

Still getting started with learning more on photonics, but this one will go on my list for sure.

Looking forward to the rest!
